Dietary Manager

Our Skilled Nursing Facility, located near Crete, IL is seeking a Dietary Manager who is self-motivated, has previous experience, is organized, and has excellent communication skills. The Dietary Manager will assist us in achieving our mission of growing a quality-oriented and employee-friendly organization.

Dietary Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the dietary department, ensuring efficiency and compliance with food safety regulations

• Manage food service employees, including scheduling, hiring, and performance management

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus, ensuring only authorized food substitutes are used

• Follow standardized recipes and special diet orders to meet residents' dietary needs

• Review resident care plans to ensure nutritional requirements are being met

• Provide nutrition counseling with support from a registered dietitian

• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth facility operations

Dietary Manager Qualifications:

• Previous long-term care experience

• Prior management experience in food service or healthcare settings
