Job Description
Position Summary:
Choice House is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Janitorial Staff member to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in our sober living homes and inpatient treatment facility. This role is essential in creating a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for our residents.
We have a location in Gunbarrel/Boulder and our sober living homes are located in Louisville. Transportation is required for this position.
Schedule:
Part-time - schedule to be determined and will be within normal business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize common areas, resident rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, hallways, offices, and clinical areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Follow infection control procedures and proper sanitation standards
- Restock cleaning, paper, and hygiene supplies as needed
- Safely use and store cleaning chemicals according to guidelines
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to management
- Maintain professional boundaries with residents and clients
- Ensure confidentiality and respect privacy at all times
Qualifications:
- Prior janitorial, custodial, or environmental services experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare, residential, or treatment settings is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable transportation - REQUIRED
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting, repetitive motion)
- Strong attention to detail
- Background check and drug screening required

- Knowledge of infection control standards and proper disinfecting procedures
- Strong reliability and consistent attendance
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a treatment environment
Compensation:
Hourly rate based on experience.
Work Environment:
This position operates within residential sober living homes and a structured inpatient treatment facility. Staff must maintain professional conduct and contribute to a clean and organized atmosphere.
