Job Description
AristaCare at Cherry Hill is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist to join our nursing leadership team. Our 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Cherry Hill, NJ provides post-hospital rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care, along with specialty programs in respiratory care, cardiac and orthopedic rehab, and wound management. The ADON / Infection Preventionist plays a central role in the clinical operation of the building, and we're looking for someone ready to step into that role and own it.
This Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist position requires prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care setting — candidates without nursing home experience will not be considered. What You'll Do
Support the Director of Nursing (DON) in the day-to-day management of the nursing department
Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program as the designated Infection Preventionist (IP)
Monitor, track, and report infection control data and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
Educate and support nursing staff on infection prevention practices and clinical standards
Participate in quality assurance and clinical oversight alongside the nursing leadership team
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of New Jersey — required
Infection Preventionist (IP) certification, or willingness to obtain IP certification — required
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) or Nursing Supervisor in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting — required
