We are currently searching for an experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our dietary staff and direct the overall operation of the food service department.

The CDM will collaborate with the clinical team and Registered Dietician to develop personalized nutritional plans for residents. The CDM will participate in care planning meetings, complete assessments, and be involved in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintain and adhere to written food services policies and procedures.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain diet history and residents’ food preferences.
• Visit residents periodically to evaluate the quality of meals served and to update food preferences, as well as perform temperature audits to ensure food maintains the required temperature range.
• Document food preferences and nutritional information in the residents’ charts.
• Maintain safety data sheets (SDSs) for hazardous chemicals used/stored in the foodservice department. Ensure staff is knowledgeable of SDSs.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc. to assure control of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a productive and respected working relationship with the dietary team and other departments.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services.
• Review food-related grievances and assist with resolution.
• Attend interdisciplinary department meetings.
Qualifications:
• Dietary Manager certification is required.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma, and be a graduate of an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association.
• Must be knowledgeable of food services practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing food services functions in nursing care facilities.
• Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with others.
