OVERVIEW:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing routine and advanced level payroll tasks.

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

· Accurate, consistent, and timely weekly payroll processing in accordance with established deadlines and policies.

· Comply with all state and federal regulations as it pertains to timekeeping, tax payments, garnishments, or levies.

· Validate payroll for accuracy prior to processing by performing audits, variance analyses, and reconciliation checks.

· Prepare and review payroll registers, deduction reports, and tax summaries.

· Respond in a professional and timely manner to all payroll related questions.

· Maintain payroll records with strict confidentiality and data integrity.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

· 2+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume environment.

· Direct experience in processing payroll via Infinium, UKG, or Workday is preferred.

· Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software.

· Ability to deliver under tight deadlines or unusual or critical situations

· Professional presentation of written information, that is clear and effective.

· Collaborative, team minded successful attitude to deliver exceptional customer service.

Additional Requirements: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):

  • Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State and ERGC Gaming regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Understanding of income-control functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, and commitment to outstanding service.
  • Regulatory requirements helpful.
  • Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Basic to Intermediate Excel
  • Strict confidentiality.

ABILITY TO:

  • Ability to work both independently and with a team to achieve objectives
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve required deadlines
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Use a computer, keyboard, and 10-key calculator.
  • write routine reports and correspondence
  • Interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
