Transportation Construction Inspector in Luzerne County, PA

KJ Consulting & Environmental Services, LLC has an immediate need for a Transportation Construction Inspector near Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Responsibilities may include:

• Oversee, inspect and monitor contractual field work
• Testing of soils, concrete, and bituminous paving
• Calculation of quantities for estimate payments
• Review of construction schedules
• Follow PennDOT documentation procedures
• Recommends changes to construction plans to meet field conditions and provide project cost saving
• Maintain project records, prepare work orders, and monthly estimates

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma. Five or more years experience in construction inspection of highway or bridges preferred.

The following Certifications are preferred but not required:

• NICET transportation - Highway Construction Level I or higher
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification
• NECEPT Asphalt Field Technician certification
• NECEPT Concrete Field Testing Technician certification
