Job Description
Position Title: Mat Load Builder
Department: Production
Reports to: Production Manager
Work Schedule: 6:00am to approx. 4:30pm Mon-Thurs.
FRIDAYS- OFF!
Primary Objective of Position:
Build mat loads for all routes daily by scanning UHF chips in mat and utilizing load building software. Keep the mat area clean and always organized to provide a safe and efficient work area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a mat load builder, you are responsible for scanning UHF chips embedded into our carpet floor mats to accurately fill the loads for 17 routes a day. A clean and organized work and mat storage area is critical to foster and efficient and accurate loading process. Clear communication with the mat rolling team is also essential to successful workdays on the mat team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work standing for 10-hour daily shift.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Attention to detail in quality control of our clean floor mats.
- Ability to read and write numbers and words up to ninth grade level.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions & procedures.
- Ability to count, track time, and record in production software.
- Ability to work in hot or cool temperatures for periods of time during the day.
- Ability to work well in a team environment (team player).
- Attention to detail throughout complete sortation process.
- Strong organizational skills.
- General computer skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
