Position Summary:
The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of recreational facilities, offices, restrooms, lodging areas, and other assigned buildings. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for military personnel, staff, and visitors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
- Dust, clean, and disinfect furniture, fixtures, windows, and surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
- Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Clean recreational facilities, meeting rooms, offices, and public areas.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to supervisors.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners.
- Follow proper safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and event setup or breakdown as assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional janitorial or commercial cleaning experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must:
- Pass a comprehensive background check.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Possess a valid and active Florida Driver's License.
- Be authorized to work in the United States.
Schedule:
- Full-Time Position
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional weekends or holidays may be required.
