Electrophysiology (EP) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Our client, in West Central Illinois, is actively pursuing approval for an Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider position and is seeking qualified Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) for either a locum assignment with the opportunity to transition to permanent, or a straight permanent hire.

Position Responsibilities

The Electrophysiology APP will provide comprehensive care for patients with complex cardiac rhythm disorders across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Inpatient / EP Lab

  • Assist with complex catheter ablations, including AFib and SVT procedures
  • Support pacemaker and ICD implantations
  • Participate in complex lead extraction procedures

Outpatient Clinic

  • Manage independent and shared patient panels
  • Conduct pre- and post-procedure evaluations
  • Perform device follow-up and management
  • Manage antiarrhythmic medications
  • Evaluate new Electrophysiology referrals
Candidate Requirements
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), ideally with Illinois License
  • Electrophysiology or cardiology experience preferred (additional requirements to be released upon final approval)
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary cardiac team
