Job Summary
Momar, Inc., a privately owned specialty chemical manufacturing company based in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Shipper I to join the Momar family. Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipper I is responsible for managing the shipment of all orders, materials, and products using the company’s computer systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Record sales order details using the company’s computer systems

• Label shipments with all required information

• Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped, and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions

• Oversee the loading and unloading of goods from trucks and other vehicles

• Operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods (as needed)

• Follow safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials

• Understand and apply proper shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods

• Complete any other tasks or projects assigned by management

Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions and training materials

• Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions without supervision

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively

Education & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations

Physical Requirements

• Ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate clearly

• Must be able to perform job tasks in dusty, hot, and/or cold working conditions
