What You'll Do

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

  • Create engaging, individualized lessons that meet students where they are.
  • Foster a safe, loving, and Christ-centered classroom culture.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with therapists, families, paraprofessionals, and fellow educators.
  • Celebrate every milestonebig and small.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and lifelong learning.
  • Utilize technology, hands-on activities, and creative teaching strategies to make learning meaningful.
  • Maintain student records, progress reports, and educational documentation.
  • Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating Christian values in both words and actions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of teaching experience in K-12 classroom
  • Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create a nurturing and structured classroom environment
