Senior Consultant - SCADA Practice
Job Description
Job Duties:
· Can teach the Q-mation ways of working (standards, policies, procedures)
· Design, develop, test, and deliver robust automation and HMI/SCADA solutions
· Provide onsite and remote installation, training, and commissioning support for delivered solutions
· Provide consulting, troubleshooting, and support for AVEVA software such as InTouch, System Platform, etc.
· Upgrade existing production software applications, with or without modifications
· Contribute to consulting operations activities such as recruiting, new product research, etc.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of software development best practices
· Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft and other 3rd party software such as: VMWare, MS Windows, MS SQL Server, MS RDS, etc.
· Understanding of how to look up and research information on troubleshooting methodology and steps to resolve
· Independently collaborate with customers
· Consistently execute a project Internal and External Kick off meeting
· Prepare technical documentation
· Able to keep meeting minutes for ongoing projects
· Able to prioritize billable work over non-billable work
· Able to manage project hours and ensure scope is completed for project
· Able to provide guidance/mentorship for Engineer III, Engineer II, Engineer I and Interns
· Demonstrate the ability to run any project with a group of engineers successfully
· Ability to consistently contribute to the team’s knowledge of the products through webinars, chat, StackOverflow and other media
· Ability to take complex technical topics and explain them to non-technical resources or customers in an easy-to-understand manner
· Considered a subject matter expert (SME) in multiple AVEVA software products
· Ability to give guidance to customers in a pre-sale’s environment (e.g. architecture, presentations and licensing information)
· Ability to define a scope of work for customer requirements and provide an engineering estimate to go with it

Requirements:· A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from a 4-year college or university is preferred
· 10+ years in the automation industry is preferred
· AVEVA Software experience 6+ years of implementing AVEVA Software solutions
· Strong experience in the following: Microsoft Office, SQL Server, and an object-oriented programming language
· Strong experience in the following: AVEVA System Platform, InTouch, Edge, MES, PI, Plant SCADA, Insight, Historian
· Must have: SCADA Experience, VM experience, terminal services
