Services we provide

Spectrum Child and Family Services supports our community’s children and teens who are delinquent, have been neglected/abused or abandoned; are medically fragile, multiple handicapped, dual diagnosed, and behaviorally and/or emotionally impaired. Our programs support a population with constantly changing needs, and our goal is to strengthen and empower the families so they become self-sufficient, stable, and competent.


Make a Difference in the Lives of Children and Families

Spectrum is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Visit Coach to join our Foster Care Supportive Visitation (FCSV) team. In this role, you will provide direct support, coaching, and visitation services to children and families involved in the foster care system throughout Huron, Lapeer, St. Clair, Sanilac, and Tuscola Counties.

What You'll Do
  • Support children and families using a strength-based, solution-focused approach
  • Facilitate and coach family visitation sessions
  • Provide services in homes, DHHS offices, and community settings
  • Collaborate with DHHS, supervisors, and community partners
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and participate in ongoing training and supervision
  • Help families build stronger relationships and achieve positive outcomes
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, or a related human services field
  • Master’s degree in Social Work preferred
  • Experience working with children and families facing complex challenges
  • Strong communication, engagement, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
