Job Description
TITLE: Sales Support Specialist
LOCATION: Based in the Home Office in Raleigh, NC
REPORTS TO: Sales Accounting Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: Will support Sales Specialists in day-to-day sales activities; work cooperatively with the team and other departments within the company; create and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and transportation; and maintain a positive, professional attitude and work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounting duties include
- Ownership of daily billing
- Monitoring and collecting for accounts receivable
- Monitoring and approval for accounts payable
- Monitoring and settling of open troubles
- Managing freight invoices and working in the freight management system
- Completing adjustments, as needed
- Daily communication with customers, suppliers, and transportation
- Assisting the assigned Sales Specialists, as needed
- Managing purchase order, transfer entry, receiving, and invoicing
- Conducting the month end closing process for the assigned Sales Specialists
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Communicate positively through oral and written means
- Successfully function within a multi-task environment
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least one year sales support experience or two or more years of customer service experience preferred
- Accounting / bookkeeping knowledge is preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Dynamic and fast-paced office environment
TRAVEL: Occasional travel to seasonal locations
