CDL Driver

About the Role:
Join SILVER CITY RECYCLING LLC as a CDL Driver and play a crucial role in our mission to promote sustainability through recycling. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will be responsible for transporting recyclable materials safely and efficiently in Meriden, CT.CDL and experience needed to operate Rolloff truck or 4 car carrier.

Responsibilities:

• Operate commercial vehicles to collect recyclable materials from various locations.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and materials collected.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members throughout the day.
• Assist in loading and unloading recyclable materials as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance practices.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
• Familiarity with recycling processes and materials is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
