Firefly Outpatient LLC is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Group Facilitator to join our clinical team. The Group Facilitator plays a vital role in supporting clients through structured therapeutic, psychoeducational, and recovery-focused groups. This position works closely with the Clinical Director and interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated, client-centered care.


The ideal candidate is experienced in behavioral health settings, knowledgeable in recovery models (including 12-step programs), and committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and growth-oriented treatment environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate therapeutic, psychoeducational, and support groups in alignment with program schedules and treatment objectives.
  • Conduct individual sessions as needed to support client progress.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director and treatment team to ensure continuity and coordination of care.
  • Assess client engagement, progress, and individual needs, implementing appropriate support strategies.
  • Complete accurate and clinically appropriate documentation for all group sessions within 24 hours, in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver services consistent with treatment plans, program goals, and best practices in behavioral health.
  • Respond to client crises using approved de-escalation techniques and follow established reporting procedures.
  • Participate in case conferences, clinical reviews, and team meetings to support collaborative treatment planning.


Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the 12-step model of recovery (AA, CA, NA, Al-Anon) and other recovery modalities.
  • Understanding of legal and ethical standards related to professional practice, reporting requirements, and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to demonstrate cultural competence and respect for diverse backgrounds and lifestyles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • PRSS Certification through ODMHSAS
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience (preferred).
  • Current First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Negative TB test results required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
