About the Role:
The Part-Time Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional guest experience within hotel industry. This position is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and professional manner while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. The bartender will engage with customers to provide personalized service, recommend drinks, and ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations to promote a safe environment. This role requires balancing speed and accuracy during busy periods while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ultimately, the Part-Time Bartender contributes to the establishment’s reputation by enhancing customer satisfaction and supporting overall operational success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in food and beverage serving or bartending roles.
- Knowledge of mixology techniques and ability to prepare a wide range of cocktails.
- Certification or training in alcohol service compliance, such as a TABC and Food Handler certification.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced bar or restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
- Additional certifications related to hospitality or customer service.
- Multilingual abilities to serve a diverse customer base.
- Knowledge of local and state alcohol laws and regulations beyond basic compliance.
- Attends and participates in on-going alcohol and food safety training meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with guests to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glassware and utensils.
- Monitor customer alcohol consumption to ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and efficiently while balancing the cash register at the end of shifts.
- Communicates confidently and promptly with guests, vendors, peers and management.
- Performs other duties which he/she has been trained for as needed and requested.
