Position Objective: The SP Liaison is the gate keeper to ensure transferred prescriptions are received by a partner pharmacy on a daily basis.


Accountability: The incumbent will report to the Program Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Record Copay information and update CRM.
  • Run Test Claims.
  • Confirm receipt of transferred prescriptions with the specialty pharmacies.
  • Assist case managers with obtaining status and shipping updates on prescriptions transferred to the Pharmacy.
  • Inform Transferred Pharmacy of copay card or funding options, as needed.
  • Outreach to partnered pharmacies when timely dispenses do not occur or data deficiencies are identified in reporting.
  • Manually trigger unresponsive text to patients to assist SP schedule shipment of medication
  • Assist with phone queue during peak volume.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the SP partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
  • Must exhibit excellent skills in the following areas: verbal/written communication, computer/data entry/software proficiency, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, self-discipline, pro-activeness, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or evidence of continual work toward a degree strongly preferred. (A degree may be required to work on some of our client programs and needs.)
  • 3 years’ experience and strong knowledge base in healthcare policy, reimbursement, market access, pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales and/or marketing, or a similar industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus effective presentation skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Proficient in data, computer skills, and able to learn the department’s software system
  • Must be client savvy, knowledgeable of business protocol, time management and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to, “think on their feet,” and suggest alternatives and solutions.
  • Must have research and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle responsibilities in a time sensitive manner.
  • Highly adaptable, able to shift gears and focus based on company, client and business needs
  • Practice a high level of confidentiality in regards to HIPAA patient confidentiality, client and company information.
