Assistant PreK Teacher

Southside Early Childhood Center at KIPP Wonder is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Pre-K Teacher to join our early learning team. If you are passionate about working with young children and supporting a nurturing, engaging classroom environment, we would love to meet you!

Position Overview:
The Assistant Pre-K Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, developmentally appropriate, and stimulating learning environment for preschool-aged children. This role is essential in helping children grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
• Supporting children during learning centers, meals, rest time, and transitions
• Promoting positive behavior, social skills, and emotional development
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Following all licensing, health, and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children (Pre-K preferred)
• CDA or associate's degree in early childhood or related (required)
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• Ability to meet background check and health requirements
