Professional Dog Groomer & Pet Care Specialist (Mobile + Salon)

Mom's Mutt Mansion & Mobile Makeovers is growing and we're looking for an energetic dog groomer who wants to build a long-term career while learning from one of the most experienced professionals in the Tampa Bay area.

This position is perfect for someone who already has grooming experience but wants to become exceptional.

You'll receive hands-on mentoring from Beckie LaPlant, whose background includes:

• Professional grooming for decades
• Veterinary technician experience
• AKC Evaluator
• Alliance Therapy Dog Evaluator
• Westminster-level show dog experience
• Professional trainer
• Police K-9 training experience
• Behavior modification
• Breed-specific styling

This is an opportunity to dramatically grow your skills with an expanding and flexible company, we'll work with you on scheduling and duties.

What You'll Do

Grooming

• Bathe, brush and dry dogs
• Breed-standard and pet trims
• Nail trims and grinding
• Ear cleaning
• Anal glands (if comfortable)
• De-shedding
• Hand scissoring
• Customer consultations
• Recommend products and services

Mobile Grooming

• Operate our fully-equipped mobile grooming trailer
• Drive safely to appointments
• Maintain equipment
• Deliver luxury customer service
• Manage schedule efficiently

Mutt Mansion Duties

When not grooming, you'll help with and learn about:

• Dog daycare
• Boarding care
• Feeding
• Medication (training provided)
• Check-ins and check-outs
• Monitoring playgroups
• Enrichment activities
• Customer service
• Reception assistance

Every day is different, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with dogs in many different ways.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Previous grooming experience
• Comfortable grooming most breeds
• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to drive a pickup with an attached trailer, or willing to learn
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Excellent customer service
• Positive attitude
• Team player
• Reliable transportation

Bonus Skills:

• Veterinary experience

• CPR certification
• Fear Free certification
• Mechanical skill
