Transportation Frieght Dispatcher

Must be available to work Night shift 21:30 - 06:30 Sunday Night - Thursday Night . Friday Night is an option as a 6th day per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Track drivers and assure that drivers are running on time.
• Help drivers with any issues ( Direction , orders, truck issues, etc )
• Update trailer board on what trailers are being dropped and what is on drivers
• Communicate with customers on any issues and delays prior to customer asking
• Reply to Customer calls and emails on current loads
• Must be able to anticipate change and/or problems and reallocate resources efficiently.
• Manage and adjust forecasted loads based on customer needs.
• Must be able to confidently make good decisions under time constraints and take accountability for those decisions.
• Use effective listening skills to gather information and/or to identify potential problems. Escalate information when necessary to management.
• Ability to work independently

Education and Experience

• High School diploma, General Education degree (GED), or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in the transportation/trucking industry preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, and telephone.
