Job Description

Senior Associate, FP&A

We're partnering with an established investment firm that builds and grows businesses across a diverse set of industries, combining capital, operational expertise, and technology to drive long-term value, on a search for a Senior Associate to join its corporate FP&A team.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you'll take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, modeling, and reporting for a defined set of internal entities, while contributing to process improvement and technology initiatives across the team.

What you'll be doing

  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for a defined set of internal entities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles

  • Build and maintain 3-statement financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with a high bar for accuracy and auditability

  • Prepare executive reporting packages and management dashboards that turn financial data into clear, decision-ready narratives for senior leadership

  • Support the annual operating plan process, gathering inputs and preparing consolidations in close partnership with the FP&A team

  • Contribute to a multi-year strategic planning process, building financial projections, scenario analyses, and sensitivity models

  • Partner directly with department heads on financial analyses that inform operational and investment decisions, and present findings to senior leadership

  • Own planning and reporting within the team's CPM platform, while actively applying AI tools and automation to improve how the team works day to day

  • Build reporting and visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau, and contribute as a knowledgeable participant in broader ERP and finance transformation initiatives underway

  • Collaborate closely with Accounting on month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, and GL integrity, ensuring GAAP compliance throughout

What we're looking for

  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or Big 4 advisory; candidates coming from large, complex, multi-entity corporate environments with global exposure are also a strong fit

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA or MBA a plus

  • Hands-on experience independently building and maintaining complex 3-statement models, with advanced Excel skills

  • Exposure to modern CPM or ERP platforms (such as OneStream, Workday Adaptive, or Microsoft Dynamics 365), and a genuine interest in using technology and AI to improve finance workflows

  • A track record of owning deliverables end to end with a high degree of independence, and presenting confidently to business stakeholders

  • Experience within financial services, private equity-backed, or multi-entity environments is strongly preferred

This is a high-visibility seat with a genuine path to promotion for a strong performer, broad exposure across a diverse portfolio of industries, and real autonomy to make an impact from day one!

Based in Stamford, CT, with a hybrid schedule of three days onsite.

Base salary range of $160,000 to $180,000 +bonus, along with strong medical coverage, a 401(k) match, and an annual professional development budget.
