Barton Mines Company is actively hiring a full-time Millwright to join our North Creek, NY operation.

We are a well-established business producing the world's highest quality garnet abrasives that are used in industrial and commercial settings worldwide. We offer competitive pay ranging from $25.00–$35.00 per hour. This position works Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm, with overtime required as necessary to support business operations.

Job Summary:

  • Perform advanced mechanical maintenance, repair, fabrication, and installation of industrial equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to safely install, align, and secure machinery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and support reliable production through preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Use welding, fabrication, rigging, and mechanical skills to complete repairs and equipment improvements.
  • Follow safety procedures, use required PPE, and work cooperatively with operations and maintenance team members.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on industrial maintenance skills.
  • Clean driver’s license.
  • Five years of industrial machine maintenance, repair, and fabrication experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Two years of professional welding experience.
  • Vocational or technical training in a skilled trades field.
  • New York State Plant Maintenance Mechanic Certification.
