About the Role:

As a Middle School STEM Teacher at Navigator Academy of Leadership, Inc, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of our future leaders. You will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in our students. Your main objective will be to inspire and motivate our students to pursue their interests in STEM fields and prepare them for success in high school and beyond. You will work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure that our students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for the challenges of the 21st century.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification in the state of Florida
  • Experience teaching middle school students in a STEM-related field
  • Strong knowledge of STEM subjects and their practical applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience with project-based learning and inquiry-based instruction
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Experience integrating technology into the classroom

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and national standards
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in STEM education

Skills:

As a Middle School STEM Teacher, you will use your strong knowledge of STEM subjects and your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in our students. You will also use your experience with project-based learning and inquiry-based instruction to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth. Additionally, you will use your experience working with diverse student populations and integrating technology into the classroom to ensure that all students have access to a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in high school and beyond.
