About the Role:

The BMS Physician Internal Medicine FT position is a full-time role dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to adult patients within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. The physician will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practices. This role involves collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans and coordinate patient care effectively. The physician will also engage in preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management to promote overall wellness in the patient population. Ultimately, this position aims to deliver high-quality internal medicine services that improve patient health and support the mission of the healthcare organization across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care and work effectively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment or hospital setting.
  • Fellowship training or additional certification in subspecialties of internal medicine (e.g., cardiology, endocrinology).
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telemedicine platforms.
  • Strong background in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Experience in teaching or mentoring medical students, residents, or other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing to identify medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and patient needs.
  • Manage acute and chronic illnesses, adjusting treatments as necessary to optimize patient health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education to stay current with advances in internal medicine.
