Description


Hill City Sports Center is seeking responsible, energetic, and safety-focused Lifeguards to join our team. Our facility is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for members and guests of all ages.

Position Summary

Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool patrons by maintaining constant supervision of aquatic areas, enforcing pool rules, and responding quickly and effectively in emergency situations. This position also helps maintain cleanliness and organization within the pool area while delivering excellent customer service.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety of all members and guests

  • Enforce pool rules and safety regulations

  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and provide first aid when needed

  • Perform water rescues and administer CPR/AED as necessary

  • Conduct routine safety checks and report hazards or maintenance concerns

  • Maintain cleanliness of pool deck and surrounding areas

  • Provide a friendly and professional experience for members and guests

  • Assist with opening and closing pool procedures

Qualifications
  • Current Lifeguard Certification required

  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required

  • Strong communication and decision-making skills

  • Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods

  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented

  • Previous lifeguarding experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to swim proficiently and perform lifesaving techniques

  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain outdoors or in humid environments for extended periods

  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
