Laundry Aide

We’re searching for an enthusiastic, hardworking laundry attendant committed to providing our guests with an exceptional stay at our hotel. Our laundry attendants perform a variety of tasks such as washing, ironing, pressing, and folding linens and should be comfortable talking with guests and making them feel at ease. Ideally, you have experience with industrial washing products and the capacity to lift 20 pounds or more regularly. $16.50 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Put all laundry in a washing machine and follow the manufacturer's directions for adding the cleaning chemicals
• Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to general manager
• Take out the clothes and linens after washing and dry them following the manufacturer's recommendations
• Look at all of your linens and treat any stains that you find
• Monitor all laundry equipment and notify the facilities manager of any maintenance requirements

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and laundry items
• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist housekeeping staff with removing dirty linens from vacant guest rooms
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear, and remove items from circulation when necessary
• Maintain proper inventory of clean linens and communicate supply needs to housekeeping leadership
• Keep laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards
• Assist the housekeeping team with delivering clean linens and supplies as needed
• Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures at all times

Qualifications:

• Good understanding of commercial cleaning techniques and products
• Must have graduated high school or received an equivalent certification
• We require the ability to consistently lift 20 or more pounds
• Hard worker with strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
• At least 1 year of experience as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or similar role preferred

• Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday consistently
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior hotel or laundry experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual a plus
