Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a candidate to provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities.
  • Knowledge of the NEC and related Codes.
  • Serve as electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities.
  • Supervision of less experienced staff working on projects, and interaction with clients and engineers from other disciplines.
  • Candidate will serve as a technical mentor for less experienced staff in local offices.
  • Engage in Business Development activities such as proposal preparation and fee/scope development.
  • Fill the role of Project Manager for selected Electrical projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in heavy industrial Electrical Engineering and Design;
    • Prior experience in water/wastewater industry is desirable
  • AutoCAD experience is a must, Revit BIM software and SKM and/or ETAP power systems software is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with instrumentation and control systems is a plus, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs.
