Service Electrician

SERVICE ELECTRICAN

We are seeking a skilled Service Electrician to perform on-site electrical service, troubleshooting, and repairs for our residential and small commercial customers. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, and capable of delivering high-quality workmanship on tight timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to service calls, diagnose electrical issues, and implement effective, code-compliant solutions.
• Install, replace, and repair wiring, outlets, panel boards, breakers, lighting, and related electrical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform panel upgrades, grounding and bonding, and electrical code corrections.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work complies with national/state/local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Document work performed, parts used, and time on service orders; communicate status to customers.
• Provide clear explanations and recommendations to customers; obtain customer approval for non-emergency replacements and upgrades.
• Maintain company vehicle, hand tools, and PPE; adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
• Participate in after-hours/on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of verifiable experience in electrical service or residential/commercial electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and testing equipment (multimeters, megohm meters, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and customer-service skills; professional appearance and demeanor.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Must be able to speak and understand English
• Completion of an apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license preferred
• OSHA-10 or equivalent safety training is a plus.
• Must be able to lift and carry tools and equipment; ability to work in varying conditions (attic/basement, heights, confined spaces).
