We are seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our hospital. This position is ideal for a credentialed technician who enjoys utilizing their technical skills, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering outstanding patient care.
What You'll Do- Partner with veterinarians to provide comprehensive patient care during appointments, surgery, and treatment
- Perform venipuncture, place intravenous catheters, collect laboratory samples, and run in-house diagnostics
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and dental procedures
- Obtain and interpret patient vital signs while closely monitoring hospitalized patients
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records
- Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and at-home care instructions
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area while supporting the hospital team as needed
- Four 10-hour shifts each week
- Every fourth Saturday
- Shared holiday responsibilities and occasional treatment weekend coverage
- Current Veterinary Technician license/registration/certification in South Carolina (LVT, RVT, or CVT)
- Previous experience working as a credentialed veterinary technician in a small animal practice
- Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting skills
- Experience with laboratory diagnostics, patient nursing, and medical calculations
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- A dependable, positive attitude and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced hospital while maintaining exceptional patient care
