Position Summary

Rogue Valley Door is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations through electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.

The ideal candidate is a safety-focused professional with strong attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment. Experience with millwork equipment and refurbishment is preferred.

This is a full-time position with variable days and hours. Benefits are available after 60 days of employment. Pay is dependent on experience (DOE).

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must possess and maintain an Oregon Limited Plant Journeyman Electrical License
  • Minimum 4–5 years of Journeyman Electrician experience
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems and plant maintenance preferred
  • Experience refurbishing millwork equipment preferred
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and job specifications
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with plant employees and maintenance teams
Job Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Repair and install motor controls and electrical circuits
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair components within motor control circuits
  • Plan, layout, and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to job specifications and local electrical codes
  • Install wire in conduit systems, including terminations and switches
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code and company safety standards
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
  • Perform plant maintenance functions with minimal direct supervision
  • Respond to unscheduled plant repair and rework needs, including off-shift requests as needed
  • Maintain certification to operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and man lifts
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work effectively with other departments as part of a team effort
  • Assist in other areas of the facility as needed
