We seek a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist, OT/OTR to join our team at a skilled nursing facility.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' strengths, limitations, and goals

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's needs and goals

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

  • Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and strategies for independent living

  • Document patients' progress and update treatment plans as needed

  • Stay current with advances in occupational therapy by attending professional development opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • New passer/graduates are welcome

  • With Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care, experience is a plus

  • Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist (OT) is a plus

  • A California license to practice Occupational Therapy is required

  • BLS Certifications are required

  • Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards is required

  • Interest in working with the geriatric population

  • Graduate of a program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)

  • Knowledge of the nursing process and standards of care for skilled nursing facilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health records
