Paralegal
Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support litigation matters in Nashville, Tennessee. This role focuses on managing case materials, coordinating discovery activities, and helping attorneys prepare thoroughly for hearings, depositions, and trial. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working with case management software in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain litigation files, pleadings, correspondence, and evidence to keep matters accurate and current throughout the case lifecycle.
• Assist attorneys with written discovery by preparing document collections, tracking deadlines, and coordinating responses with internal and external parties.
• Support trial and hearing preparation by assembling exhibits, witness materials, chronologies, and other case-related documentation.
• Monitor case calendars and litigation milestones to help ensure timely filings, court compliance, and effective matter progression.
• Use case management software to update records, manage documents, and improve visibility into ongoing legal matters.
• Conduct factual and document-based research to help attorneys evaluate claims, defenses, and case strategy.
• Communicate with clients, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel regarding scheduling, records, and procedural follow-up as directed.
• Prepare draft legal documents, summaries, and reports for attorney review in connection with civil litigation matters.
• Prior experience supporting litigation matters in a paralegal capacity.
• Working knowledge of discovery processes, including document review, collection, and production coordination.
• Experience assisting with trial preparation, including exhibits, case files, and witness-related materials.
• Proficiency with case management software (eDiscovery) and legal document organization tools.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a legal setting.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
