Class B Structural Welder is a mid-level skilled tradesperson responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structural components (e.g., beams, columns, and building frames). Operating under moderate supervision, they perform routine structural welds while maintaining strict site safety and quality standards Welding Execution: Perform structural welding tasks such as single-pass and multi-pass fillets. Primarily utilize methods like Stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), or Flux-Cored (FCAW) to fuse heavy steel components. Material Prep & Finishing: Read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and job specifications. Prepare joints and clean welded pieces using grinders, chipping hammers, and torches Experience: Typically 2 to 4 years of hands-on welding experience, often working under the supervision of a Master or Class A Welder.
