Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Traveling Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality physical therapy services to pediatric clients across multiple sites. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and committed to helping children achieve their developmental milestones.

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans
• Provide direct care to children ages birth to 5, in school, home, and clinical settings
• Travel between assigned service areas
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate with the supervising PT
• Collaborate with other therapy providers, families, and caregivers
• Ensure compliance with documentation, billing, and HIPAA requirements

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current PTA license in New York State
• Pediatric experience required (early intervention, school-based, or outpatient)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
