Our furniture is known for quality, craftsmanship, and durability-and that quality starts with skilled people doing the work right.We are looking for an experienced Inside Upholsterer to join our upholstery manufacturing team in Archdale, North Carolina.If you take pride in working with your hands, know how to build a clean, consistent piece, and care about doing quality work, this is an opportunity to build a long-term career with Stickley.What You'll DoAs an Inside Upholsterer, you will build the inside of upholstered furniture, including seats, inside backs, and arms. You will use your upholstery skills to make sure each piece has the proper shape, comfort, fit, and finish before moving to the next stage of production.Your work will include:Upholstering the inside of fine custom furniture using fabric and leatherReading production tickets and following special instructionsApplying cotton, rubber, and other materials to build the proper shape and comfortStretching and applying fabric or leather smoothly and correctlyCreating short, uniform pleatsUsing standard upholstery tools such as staple guns, scissors, regulators, button needles, staple pullers, pliers, and tape measuresChecking your work to make sure the piece meets quality expectationsCompleting work according to the production scheduleScanning completed pieces into the production process after approvalKeeping your work area clean, organized, and safeWhat We're Looking For3+ years of experience in inside upholstery for custom or high-quality furniture preferredExperience working with fabric and leatherAbility to read production tickets and follow detailed instructionsExperience using common upholstery tools and equipmentGood attention to detail and pride in your workAbility to produce consistent quality throughout the workdayAbility to work independently and as part of a production teamHand-tufting or machine-tufting experience is a plusWhy Work at Stickley?This is hands-on work, and the quality of what you build matters.You will work alongside skilled craftspeople producing premium furniture built to last.
