About the Role:
California Association of REALTORS® is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Professional Standards Administrator to join our Corporate Legal team and play a key role in administering C.A.R.'s Statewide Professional Standards Program. This position will have responsibility for scheduling and planning disciplinary and arbitration cases administered by C.A.R. Additionally, this position will be responsible for facilitating Grievance Committee meetings and hearings conducted pursuant to the Statewide Professional Standards Program; drafting Findings of Fact for disciplinary cases based on hearing panel decisions; and communicating with local association staff by periodically getting information to update their volunteer rosters and providing reports on cases involving their members. The Professional Standards Administrator will also provide general administrative support to the Legal Department as needed.

Compensation: $50,000 to $65,000 annually ($24 per hour to $31.25 per hour) Currently Remote but MUST be based in California
Status: Full-Time, Non-exempt

Key Responsibilities:
Support Statewide Professional Standards program.
- Schedule and plan disciplinary and arbitration cases administered by C.A.R.
- Facilitate Grievance Committee meetings and hearings conducted pursuant to the Statewide Professional Standards Program.
- Draft Findings of Fact for disciplinary cases based on hearing panel decisions
- Communicate with local association staff to provide updates and reports on cases involving their members.
- Communicate with volunteers to prepare them for meetings and hearings.
- Answer calls from local associations on Professional Standards matters, and consult with attorney for response.
- Handle complaint intakes from members and consumers.
- Answer questions from parties in cases about the professional standards process.
- Support the statewide program in broader Professional Standards administration.
- Schedule trainings, webinars, and other meetings.
- Provide certificates and other recognition.
- Maintain current content on website.
- Prepare reports on program accomplishments and metrics.
- Provide backup administration of the interboard arbitration program.
- May also recruit and/or train program volunteers.
- Provide general administrative support to the Legal Department, assisting attorneys and other support staff as requested.
Key Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience in a legal office, trade association, or similar company required
- Minimum 2 years REALTOR® professional standards administrator experience strongly preferred (California experience strongly preferred)
- Education:
- College degree required; 4-year degree preferred
- Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly, as this position will work with CasePro, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, membership system, and other software identified below.
- Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot, etc.)
- Must be comfortable actively running hearings via Zoom.
