We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a financial services organization in Danville, California. This role will oversee core accounting activities for the management company and related entities, while supporting accurate reporting, liquidity planning, and cross-entity financial coordination. The position also contributes to budgeting, forecasting, payroll support, and other finance initiatives that help leadership make informed business decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Produce and maintain financial reports for the management company and affiliated entities in accordance with U.S. accounting standards.
• Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, organizing documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and develop weekly projections to monitor short-term liquidity needs.
• Oversee invoice processing and payment activities to ensure the accounts payable cycle runs accurately and on time.
• Review employee reimbursement submissions each month and record approved expenses in the general ledger.
• Coordinate with international affiliate teams and prepare consolidated financial information across entities.
• Create quarterly capital account statements for general partners and administer related capital activity, including contributions and distributions.
• Assist with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance review to strengthen planning and performance analysis.
• Provide support for payroll and other finance or administrative projects as needed across the management company and its affiliates.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience in public accounting, industry, or a combination of both.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with professionalism and discretion.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact confidently with leadership.
• Proficiency with Excel, QuickBooks, PowerPoint, and other standard business software applications.
