Perioperative Registered Nurse
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Pre-operative, Circulating and Recovery room Registered Nurses for PRN shifts to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of assigned patients.
Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care to patients in the perioperative setting
- Establish patient treatment plans
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or status
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Educate patients about health maintenance and post-op care
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Qualifications:
- Current GA nursing license
- BLS/ACLS/PALS
- Previous perioperative nursing experience with adult and pediatric patients
- Familiarity with medical equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients and parents
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
