Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary UCS LLC is looking for a dependable and safety-focused CDL Driver to join our growing team. If you're looking for a driving career where you can be home most nights, work with a great crew, and be part of a company that's growing fast, we'd love to hear from you. We're a young, rapidly expanding company that's investing in both our people and our equipment. We're looking for drivers who take pride in their work, enjoy being part of a team, and want to grow with a company that recognizes hard work and dedication. As a CDL Driver, you'll primarily transport construction equipment, ground protection mats, and related materials throughout Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding Tri-State area. This is not a long-haul trucking position—you'll play a vital role in supporting our field operations while enjoying consistent local work and the opportunity to be part of an awesome team. Responsibilities
  • Safely transport construction equipment, ground protection mats, and materials to and from job sites.
  • Secure loads using proper tie-down procedures in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards.
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections.
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials as needed.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs and required DOT documentation.
  • Work closely with field crews and project managers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Communicate vehicle maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Represent UCS LLC professionally while interacting with customers, contractors, and the public.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of CDL driving experience.
  • Experience hauling heavy equipment, trailers, or construction materials preferred.
  • Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and vehicle inspection requirements.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment used to load and unload trailers is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and DOT physical.
Requirements
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and professional.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting field crews when needed.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime and occasional weekends.
  • Willingness to stay out of town as project needs require.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks associated with loading and securing equipment.
What We Offer
  • Competitive pay based on experience.
  • Overtime opportunities.
  • Regularly maintained trucks.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Paid vacation, holidays and sick leave.
  • 401K Retirement plan with a competitive employer match.
  • Daily Per-Diem when working out of town.
  • Opportunities for advancement as our company continues to grow.
  • A supportive team environment where your hard work is recognized and appreciated.
