Cardiology APP (NP or PA)

Assignment Details

• Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut

• Start Date: September 1, 2026

• Duration: Through December 31, 2026 (17 weeks)

• Practice Setting: Cardiac Surgery (Operating Room and Inpatient)

• Temp-to-hire opportunity available for interested candidates

Compensation: $130/hr

Schedule

• Full-time (40 hours/week)

• Three 13-hour shifts per week

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM–8:00 AM

• Rotating schedule with seven other APPs

• Weekend rotation approximately every 3–6 weekends, depending on staffing and vacations

Clinical Details

• Cardiac Surgery Operating Room and Inpatient coverage

• Work as part of a Cardiac Surgery APP team

• EMR: Epic preferred

Required Skills

• First Assist in Cardiac Surgery preferred (providers without first assist experience will be considered if they have strong inpatient cardiac surgery experience)

• Inpatient cardiac surgery experience preferred

• Chest tube insertion and management

• Epic experience preferred

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Cardiac Surgery experience required
