• Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules
• Document medication administration accurately and timely in medical records
• Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
• Assist with the coordination of medication refills and orders
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure proper medication management
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding medication usage and potential side effects
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures related to medication administration

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certification as a Medication Aide or completion of a state-approved medication administration training program
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in medication administration
• Knowledge of medical documentation systems such as Epic or Cerner
• Familiarity with hospice care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
