Electrician Journeyman

Key Responsibilities

• Immediate Maintenance: Troubleshoot and fix issues with fuel dispensers, canopy LED panels, and retail store walk-in coolers.
• Hazardous Space Protocol: Install explosion-proof conduit seals and fittings strictly following NEC Article 514 and Article 500.
• Safety Compliance: Inspect and maintain required arc flash labeling on service equipment and panelboards.
• Site Inspections: Test emergency power shut-offs, grounding networks, and backup generator transfer switches.
• Have to have electrical knowledge
• Will be installing receptacles, hanging lighting, anything electrical, as well as working on laying conduit and pulling wire to the dispensers and canopies outside
• May be working on trenchers and mini excavators

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensing: Current Journeyman Electrician license recognized by the state of Kansas or local Topeka jurisdictions.
• Contract Readiness: Must possess a personal set of standard electrician hand tools.
• Safety Protocols: Complete knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA electrical safety standards.
• Screening: Pass all standard pre-employment background checks and drug screenings required by the host facility.
• Mobility: Valid driver’s license and independent, reliable transit to travel to location.
• MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TOOLS - hard hats, safety vests, safety goggles
