Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead core accounting and financial reporting activities for our organization in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will oversee the accuracy of financial records, guide the month-end close process, and support sound decision-making through timely and reliable financial insights. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, a disciplined approach to controls, and the ability to improve finance operations in a growing business environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Direct the month-end and year-end close cycle, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is complete and well supported.
• Review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to evaluate complex transactions and support appropriate accounting treatment.
• Establish, monitor, and strengthen internal controls to reduce risk and support compliance across finance operations.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis, reporting insights, and recommendations that support business planning and performance management.
• Coordinate with auditors and other external partners by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to information requests.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance overall department efficiency.• 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including substantial responsibility in a Controller or senior accounting leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, month-end close management, and technical accounting application.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.
• Proven ability to lead accounting operations while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience preparing and reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement packages.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work across departments and present financial information clearly to leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar credential is preferred.
