We are looking for a detail-oriented Discovery Scheduler to support a busy litigation practice in Tampa, Florida. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented paralegal who can coordinate discovery activity, manage legal deadlines, and keep case events moving forward with accuracy and urgency. The role requires strong organizational skills, confidence working with court filing platforms, and the ability to partner closely with attorneys on pleadings, scheduling, and case documentation.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of written discovery materials, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
• Track discovery deadlines and help ensure responses are prepared, reviewed, and delivered within required timeframes.
• Manage requests for records and document production from third parties, maintaining logs and following up on outstanding items as needed.
• File legal documents through state and federal e-filing systems with close attention to court rules and formatting requirements.
• Arrange depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and other case-related events while confirming availability and logistics for all parties.
• Draft pleadings, motions, orders, and related legal documents under attorney direction.
• Maintain attorney calendars and monitor important litigation dates, deadlines, and scheduled appearances.
• Review case materials such as medical records, billing documentation, and lien information to support litigation preparation and follow-up.
• Provide additional case support and administrative assistance as needed to meet team and client demands.• At least 3 years of experience in a paralegal or litigation support role.
• Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Florida Registered Paralegal certification preferred.
• Demonstrated experience preparing discovery documents and evaluating responses for completeness and accuracy.
• Background coordinating litigation events such as trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Familiarity with requesting, reviewing, and cross-referencing medical records, billing records, and lien documentation.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven legal environment.
