We are seeking a qualified Radiological Technologist / Laboratory Assistant to support the Jicarilla Service Unit in Dulce, NM. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and assisting with laboratory operations, including phlebotomy and specimen processing. The position supports high-quality patient care across diverse populations, from pediatric to adult patients.Key ResponsibilitiesRadiology Duties
- Perform digital radiographic imaging (e.g., neck, trunk, extremities) for diagnostic purposes
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images
- Ensure proper radiation safety protocols and patient protection
- Determine technical imaging factors (kVp, mA, exposure time)
- Coordinate with radiologists to ensure timely interpretation of imaging results
- Maintain radiology equipment and report malfunctions
- Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate records
- Perform phlebotomy (venipuncture and capillary collection)
- Process and prepare specimens for testing or referral labs
- Enter patient and test data into RPMS system
- Support lab operations including order entry, faxing, and communication
- Provide excellent patient interaction and customer service
- Maintain inventory and order supplies
- Assist in emergency situations (first aid/CPR as needed)
- Train and support non-radiology staff when required
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Licensure:
- Current ARRT certification (or equivalent)
- Valid, unrestricted license to practice
- Must meet New Mexico state requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in radiology (including trauma or general X-ray)

Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required

Skills:
- Knowledge of radiographic techniques, anatomy, and radiation safety
- Phlebotomy and specimen handling experience
- Strong communication and computer skills (RPMS preferred)
- Must comply with HIPAA, IHS policies, and ethical standards
- Completion of required training (e.g., Information Security, Trauma-Informed Care)
- Must meet immunization and health screening requirements
- Subject to background checks under Indian Child Protection Act
