Master Carpenter

Location: Smithtown, NY (Factory Setting and field work)
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Hours: 40 hours per week minimum
Compensation: $30.00 – $35.00 / hour (Paid weekly)

Position Overview

We are seeking an efficient, detail-oriented Master Carpenter to join our indoor manufacturing facility. In this role, you will build luxury pool houses, multi-car garages, and custom storage sheds entirely from scratch. This position operates in a stable, covered factory environment, constructing units that are either fully completed for delivery or prefabricated into precise wall panel systems for rapid on-site installation.

Key Responsibilities

• From-Scratch Fabrication: Cut, frame, and assemble floors, walls, and complex roof rafters using raw lumber. With and without structural blueprints.
• Premium Finishing: Install exterior vinyl/wood siding, trim, custom doors, windows, and roofing materials with zero defects.
• Panelized Assembly: Layout and build precise, square wall panel configurations designed for seamless field setup.
• Shop Efficiency: Maintain a clean, organized workstation and safely operate industrial woodworking equipment, nail guns, and material handling tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional framing and exterior finish carpentry experience.
• Absolute mastery of framing squares, speed squares, and calculating complex roof pitches (e.g., 1/12 - 20/12 slopes, hips, valleys).
• Proven ability to read structural layouts and execute builds independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic to consistently meet the 40-hour weekly minimum.
• Must have your own dependable hand tools and reliable transportation to our Smithtown facility.
