Position Summary

TEAMability is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to children with gross motor, orthopedic, and neurological challenges. Working under physician referral, the therapist develops and implements individualized treatment plans to help each child achieve their highest level of independence and function. This role is essential to delivering high-quality care and collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Primary Responsibilities

Evaluation and Treatment

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations using standardized tools and accepted assessment methods.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients with physical dysfunctions.
  • Safely apply therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation and ultrasound.
  • Monitor equipment for safety and maintain patient well-being during sessions.
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, summaries, and re-evaluations accurately and timely.

Collaboration and Supervision

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families regarding progress and needs.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and students, ensuring compliance with documentation and treatment standards.
  • Participate in team conferences, staff meetings, and contribute to program development.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Educate patients, families, staff, and the public about physical therapy practices.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • If trained outside the U.S., must meet World Confederation for Physical Therapy membership requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range $83,000 - $104,000 commensurate with experience.
