Quality Manager Automotive

The Quality Manager is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and quality systems. This will be done by providing technical support (training and facilitating) to company staff and plants to ensure compliance to internal and external customer requirements, with emphasis on continuous improvement in product quality, cost and customer satisfaction. In addition, this position will be responsible for follow up and corrective action coordination of all customer related quality issues for their specific customer team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct and supervise the plant Quality team.
• Champion for ISO/TS16949.
• Maintain personnel levels to support production and and quality assurance activities.
• Monitors and reacts to external and internal customers
• Coordinates internal product quality audits and reports findings to plant management.
• Coordinates internal and external measurement of plant quality system effectiveness.

Critical Skills and Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience as a Quality Manager in a closely related field.
• Bachelors degree in engineering or related field, may substitute extensive experience for education.
• Experience with TS16949/ISO14001, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, ect.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE and GD&T
• Experience with problem solving methodology.
• Strong written and verbal/interpersonal communication skills
