Trumbull-Brayman Joint Venture is seeking an experienced Union Carpenter Foreman to join our team on the Montgomery Lock & Dam Project in Monaca, Pennsylvania, a major U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) infrastructure project with an estimated 8-year duration. This position offers stable, long-term work on a high-profile federal infrastructure project.This is a long-term, full-time leadership opportunity on a large-scale heavy civil project involving structural concrete, dam and lock rehabilitation, and complex infrastructure construction. The Carpenter Foreman will supervise union carpenters and coordinate daily field operations while leading crews performing concrete formwork, structural carpentry, and pile driving support activities.SCHEDULE & COMPENSATIONTypical schedule is Monday through Friday - approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime available based on project demands and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.This is a union position, and the successful candidate will become a member of the applicable Carpenters Union Local.Compensation includes:Union wage starting at $44.66 per hour based on experienceOvertime payMedical / Prescription Drug InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePension PlanAdditional benefits provided through the collective bargaining agreementKEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Carpenter Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating field crews performing heavy civil construction activities while maintaining safe, productive, and organized operations. The Foreman is expected to serve as a hands-on field leader, capable of working alongside the crew while directing daily activities.Responsibilities include:Leading crews constructing complex concrete formwork systemsInterpreting construction drawings, specifications, and layoutCoordinating pile driving support, rigging, and structural installationsPlanning and assigning daily work tasks to meet project schedule requirementsManaging crew productivity and maintaining efficient operationsCoordinating manpower, materials, and equipment with project supervisionEnsuring compliance with company and USACE safety requirementsMaintaining high standards of workmanship and quality controlCommunicating with superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and other tradesMentoring apprentices and journeyman carpentersQUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONMinimum 5 years of heavy civil carpentry Foreman/Crew Leader experienceStrong experience with formwork systems and structural concreteAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsCommitment to maintaining safe work practicesAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of a Carpenters Union apprenticeship program, vocational school, or technical training preferredRecent and verifiable construction work history requiredWORK ENVIRONMENTWork is performed outdoors on an active heavy civil construction site. Duties involve physical labor including lifting, climbing, bending, and working around heavy equipment and structural concrete operations.SAFETYThis is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis.
